At MIORG, our mission is to integrate fundamental discoveries in immunology with translational innovation at the University of Turku. As part of the InFLAMES Flagship, our group contributes to the university’s ecosystem of excellence by advancing novel therapeutic and prognostic concepts born directly from academic research.
Our programs are designed to tackle one of the most urgent challenges in oncology: overcoming resistance in “cold” tumors that do not respond to current immunotherapies. By combining state-of-the-art research with the university’s strong innovation framework, we aim to generate solutions that can, in the future, be developed into impactful therapies and diagnostics.
Our current focus includes:
